A graduate in Marketing and baptized in the city of the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Cristiana always had a fascination and admiration for the culinary arts. She would always be at the kitchen beside her mother checking everything that was being prepared. From a simple meal like rice and beans to more sophisticated dishes, Cris has always enjoyed cooking and baking.
Since she was a little girl, the kitchen was her “playground”. The idea to open her own business began with the economic situation of 2010 and her own desire to try something new.
“In the beginning of 2011 my friend gave me a book about gourmet Brazilian truffles and my interest awakened. Not only had I always loved those truffles but also had a passion for cooking them as well. Dedicated many hours of research into recipes, packaging and tendencies, I discovered a huge world of ideas. Therefore, realizing that there was a niche to be developed I thought, why not?
I spent time in Brazil studying, attending classes and work shops, in pursue to learn more about the traditional ways of authentic Brazilian cooking and baking.
The company was launched in May 2011 during a conversation with my father. I wanted something catchy that could be pronounced easily; Cris’s Brigs was the inspiration of my father. Today my clients ask for my brigs and friends already call me Cribs!
I like to innovate and research before I add to or introduce a new product. However, I take pride in always being aware of my client’s needs, wants and tastes.
